The Incredibles!
What a film! And cast! It's incredible!
With the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Jason Lee, Wallace Shawn, Samuel L. Jackson and the director himself, Brad Bird, this film is visually and aurally exciting!
After a heyday of heroism, the "supers", or masked superheroes are forced into exile after a law suit gone awry. Poor Jack Parr (alias: Mr. Incredible) is forced into a suburban, cubicle-bound life. His hulking figure, once pure muscle, is now hidden under a layer or two of fat, and he has no real pleasure except his weekly "bowling" with friend and former super colleague, Lucius Best (Frozone), where they peruse police radios and fantasize about their super days.
Meanwhile, Bob's wife, Helen Parr (ElastiGirl) tries her very best to maintain a normal life for their three children, Violet, Dash and baby Jack Jack. The elder two have powers, but they are forbidden to use them! The baby, however, seems powerless.
When the average American life proves too dull for Bob, he pulls out his former super-suit and jumps at the opportunity to secretly use his powers to fight a menacing robot. Lured by an excellent offer and diversion, Mr. Incredible falsifies a business trip and heads off to a remote island, confident that his wife will be none the wiser. How wrong he is.
When Mr. Incredible gets into trouble, ElastiGirl (and Dash and Violet!) must come to his rescue. As they fight the evil villain, Syndrome, the family realizes some new skills and powers. They band together and face their toughest challenge ever and learn something about baby Jack Jack...
This movie is funny, stylistically clean, and the animation is beautiful! The voices are suited perfectly to the characteristics of each Incredible, and the relationships between the family members are written precisely!
It's also a film that appeals to a wide range of audiences--children will laugh, and so will adults!
